Zumba is an exercise fitness program created by Colombian dancer and choreographer Alberto "Beto" Perez during the 1990s. Zumba combines Latin and International music with a fun and effective workout system.

Seaweed Pressing
October 10th-3:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m.
All ages!
Children will go down to the beach and learn all about the different plants that grow in the Long Island Sound! The group will find some of the sea weeds that grow and press them in our plant press. Once they dry the kids can take them home
October 11th

Feeding
October 11th- 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
All ages!

Seining
October 12th-3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Ages 4 and up (ages 6 and up wear waders)
Children will put waders on and make collections of the brackish water habitat of the Long Island Sound. They will then observe, discuss and record what they collect.

Geology
October 13th-1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m.
All Ages!
Students will head down to the beach and find out how many different kinds of rocks make up the beach. By using a sieve the kids will be able to identify on their own what rocks make up the Long Island Sound!
Coastal Clean-up
October 14th-10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m.
All Ages!
We will head out around the park as well as down to the beach and collect some garbage that may cause animals as well as us to get sick! Help clean-up the Long Island Sound!
Estuary Investigation
October 14th- 1:00 p.m.-1:45 p.m.
Ages 4 and 7
During this week students will learn how to make their own Aqua scope! Once the children make them we will head down to the shore and look what’s living beneath the surface! Wear clothes you don’t mind getting wet or dirty!
