Wayfinding Ribbon Cutting

Event Date:
Tuesday, August 6, 2019 - 5:00pm

On Tuesday, August 6th, the Village of Mamaroneck will celebrate the completion of Phase I of its Downtown Wayfinding Signage project with an official ribbon cutting ceremony. Media members, business owners, and members of the public are invited to meet in front of the Regatta (123 Mamaroneck Ave.) at 5:00 p.m..

The network of signs, kiosks, and directional markers will help visitors to “The Avenue” (as downtown Mamaroneck is often known) as well as the emerging “Avenue North” business district north of the train tracks find points of interest including parking lots, public transportation, government offices, community institutions, parks, and local shopping and dining. Phase I consists of 30 vehicular signs designed to help motorists locate parking and find key sites. Phase 2, which is still in the planning phase, will provide directional signage and informational kiosks for pedestrians as well as attractive “gateway” signs at Village entry points.
