Bridge Maintenance Cleaning Over I-95 Traffic Advisory

The New York State Thruway Authority has informed the Village of Mamaroneck that beginning in March 2022 and completed by June 24, 2022, multiple bridge washings will be happening along I-95. The washing of these bridges will include deck survaces, fascias, joints, and substructure elements.

This bridge washing work will include short-term lane and sidewalk closures on local streets. The closures are expected to last only as long as its takes to wash the bridge elements over the roadway and sidewalks. Although some nighttime operations may be expected, the majority of the work will be performed during the day. This work will affect the following roadways in and around the Village of Mamaroneck:

  • Chatsworth Avenue
  • Larchmont Station Plaza
  • Rockland Avenue
  • Fenimore Road
  • Old White Plains Road
  • Mamaroneck Avenue
  • West Street

According to the New York State Thruway Authority:

  1. Lane closures shall not be permitted between 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM and from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM on weekdays.
  2. One sidewalk shall remain open during the work operations.
  3. Lane closure requests shall be submitted to the Village of Mamaroneck fourteen (14) days prior to the start of work.
