Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update for April 7, 2020

MAMARONECK, New York, April 7, 2020 — We offer the following announcements for today, Tuesday, April 7:

Domestic Violence 24/7 Hotline & Resources from My Sisters’ Place

My Sisters' Place LogoAs has been widely reported, rates of domestic violence rise significantly during times of stress and uncertainty, and in the current crisis, many victims have no choice but to isolate themselves at home with an abuser. My Sisters’ Place (www.mspny.org) continues to make available free education, outreach, and confidential supportive and legal services for all who seek support from domestic violence and human trafficking. During the Coronavirus / COVID-19 pandemic, their shelter will remain open, and their 24/7 hotline will remain a source of information and support.

For more information, please visit the My Sisters’ Place website www.mspny.org and anyone seeking assistance, emergency shelter, or safety planning should call their 24/7 Hotline 800-298-7233.

My Sisters' Place is working hard to meet the needs of all who rely on them. While their work is more challenging due to the current circumstances,  their staff is working around the clock to make sure that their shelter remains safe and healthy, their hotline remains operational, and their clients' needs are met.

Social Distancing - Keep Your Distance

During COVID-19 Pandemic we ask that all park goers use additional precautions to protect their health and safety and that of those around them. While solo exercise is okay, team sports (such as basketball, football, softball, and soccer) are not permitted in our parks at this time. Please maintain at least 6 feet of distance between yourself and others when outside and avoid congregating in groups. Stay safe and healthy!
