Information as it Relates to Our Community from New York State

With the end of NY PAUSE on May 15, Governor Cuomo has established a regional approach for reopening. The Mid-Hudson Region, which includes Westchester County and the Village of Mamaroneck, has not met the standards and cannot begin reopening. Click here to download the Village's "Re-Opening" Flyer.

As our region begins the process of reopening, New York State requires we meet seven (7) metrics before we begin our reopening process. Westchester is a part of the Mid-Hudson Region, which currently meets five of the seven metrics. Once we meet these metrics, businesses will begin to reopen in four (4) phases. In order to handle new COVID cases through this process, Westchester must maintain a contact tracing workforce (see below). NYS’s metrics are explored in more detail in Governor Cuomo’s plan for NY Forward. And if you would like to monitor Westchester’s progress across these metrics, please consult NYS’s new regional tracker: https://forward.ny.gov/regional-monitoring-dashboard

Click here to read the latest from the New York State Coronavirus Webpage as of 5/14 at 4:30PM.
