Parks & Recreation Virtual Classes - www.village.mamaroneck.ny.us/parks-recreation/virtual-classes

The Village of Mamaroneck's Parks & Recreation Department has put together this webpage of virtual classes as a way to engage residents during the Coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic. Listings are drawn from local Village businesses as well as associated groups and organizations whose missions inspire and engage the community through dynamic events and diverse programming*. This page will be updated as more programs and resources become available.

*Listings or recommendations expressed on this webpage are those of the Village of Mamaroneck Parks & Recreation staff and are for informational purposes only. Please note that they have not been reviewed, approved, or otherwise endorsed.

Mutual Aid Sign-Ups for Volunteers and Those Needing Assistance

Matt Rabinowitz, a graduate of Mamaroneck High School (Class of 2015) and a first year medical student at Johns Hopkins University Medical School, recently contacted the Village with the following:

"To help support our community and its members who are most vulnerable to COVID-19, I have helped to create a Mutual Aid within the town in an effort to connect capable and motivated volunteers with neighbors who are in need of assistance. I am reaching out to you to make our volunteers available to the Larchmont/Mamaroneck community if needed now or in the future."

So far, Matt tells us that over 50 volunteers have signed up who are able and willing to help in Larchmont/Mamaroneck in a somewhat “carte blanche” manner. People have indicated willingness to bake and/or cook, deliver groceries, work with the volunteer ambulance corps (VAC), fire department, or police department on projects, assist local business, and provide pet and child care to essential personnel in our community. The two links below are for (1) a volunteer sign-up, and (2) a sign-up for those who wish to request support from the mutual aid.
