COVID-19 Announcements

 Get the Facts PNG

All New Yorkers age 12+ are now eligible to schedule and receive the vaccine.

All New York State mass vaccination sites are now open to walk-in appointments for all New Yorkers over the age of 12.
You can also go to vaccinefinder.org to find a COVID-19 vaccine site near you.

On Tuesday, June 15, New York State hit a vaccination milestone—70 percent of adult New Yorkers have received at least one dose of the COVID vaccine. After reaching this goal, New York State lifted most of the State's remaining COVID restrictions. In line with New York State's announcement, the Village of Mamaroneck also announced that the COVID-19 Local Emergency Proclamation Expired that same evening at 11:59pm.

The New York State COVID-19 Pandemic Small Business Recovery Grant Program was created to provide flexible grant assistance to currently viable small businesses, micro-businesses and for-profit independent arts and cultural organizations in the State of New York who have experienced economic hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic. There will be a Virtual Forum on Monday, June 21, from 3pm to 4:30pm. Click here to register.

Village Prepares for 2021 Mosquito Season

Mosquito

With the warmer weather approaching, the Village of Mamaroneck is actively monitoring for mosquito activity as part of our Village’s mosquito control program. Since 2019, the Village has been using Bacillus thuringiensis subspecies israelensis (Bti), a naturally occurring bacterium found in soils, in order to treat the Village’s catch basins and the marshes in the Shore Acres neighborhood*. Bti is an effective tool that reduces the mosquito population while minimizing the amount of pesticide materials being sprayed or “fogged” into the air. Click here to read more.
