Yesterday, November 24th, the Village of Mamaroneck in conjunction with the Larchmont Mamaroneck Hunger Task Force (LMHTF) distributed masks and sanitizer at the Weekly Food Pantry in Columbus Park. Over 3,400 surgical masks and 1,000 Hanes washable masks were handed out as well as 800 2-oz containers of NYS Sanitizers. The Village has ordered an additional 20,000 masks that we hope to receive next week. (Click here to view the November 13th Video from LMC Media about the LMHTF Food Pantry Distribution.)

The Village gratefully acknolwedges and appreciates all the work Westchester County and local community groups are doing in this time of need!

There will be NO garbage, organic, rubbish, or recycling collection TOMORROW, Thursday, November 26th (Thanksgiving Day); however, there will be normal garbage pickup on Friday, November 27th (the Friday after Thanksgiving) for households who normally have their garbage picked-up on a Friday. The Recycling Center, including the Compost Drop-Off Program, at 313 Fayette Avenue will be closed on Friday, November 27th. (To lookup your garbage/rubbish pickup schedule, visit the Sanitation Pickup Schedule webpage or download the Recycling Right Westchester app from the Apple Store or Google Play Store. You can also lookup your garbage/rubbish pickup schedule on this brochure.)

Please note that the Recycling Center, including the Compost Drop-Off Program, at 313 Fayette Avenue is CLOSED on Saturdays until further notice.

This Thursday is Thanksgiving, a time to give thanks by sharing a meal with loved ones. Oftentimes, those food scraps and leftovers go to waste. For those recycling their food waste, don't forget to bring them to the Compost Drop-Off Program at 313 Fayette Avenue after the feasting is over and the leftovers are ready to be scrapped. The Recycling Center at 313 Fayette Avenue is OPEN Monday through Friday, from 7am to 3:15 pm. For more information about the Village's Composting Program, click here.
