Westchester County's Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) Presentation

At the July 12th Board of Trustees Meeting, Blanca P. Lopez, the Assistant Director of Operations at Westchester County, made a presentation about Westechester County's Emergency Rental Assitance Program (ERAP). Administered in partnership with New York State's Office for Temporary Disability Assistance (OTDA), this rental assistance program supports households which are behind on their rent, which have experienced financial hardship, that are at risk of homelessness or housing instability and that earn at or below 80 percent of area median income. The program opened on June 1 and applications are now being accepted. For more information, please visit:

Applicants can file directly with New York State to receive financial assistance or work through the Community Resource Center (which is one of Westchester County's nonprofit partners) to receive application assistance. The program has been accepting applications since June 1, 2021, on a first-come, first-served basis. As of July 8, 38 applications have been received from the 10543 zip code.
