Fall Planting update – 106 trees

Tree Ordinance review (to come)

• Amendment to proposed ordinance: residents to pay VOM for fee hiring

certified arborist for opinion about removing private tree in lieu of paying

removal permit fee.

• Arborist opinion may not be given by same company hired to remove a tree.
• Replacement of trees that mature to heights greater than 30’ must be made with species having similar mature heights.
• VOM to create position for Weekend Code Enforcement Officer, part of whose responsibilities would include tree issues.
• Penalties for illegal tree removals to be levied on removal company as well as on residents.
