COVID-19 Announcements

Visit vaccinefinder.org to find a COVID-19 vaccine site near you!

  • NEW: On Tuesday, July 27, Village Manager Jerry Barberio issued this Proclamation of Local Emergency. This local emergency will continue until it is rescinded by the Village Manager or August 27, 2021, whichever is later. Many of these regulations apply to Village properties, including: 169 Mt. Pleasant Avenue, 123 Mamaroneck Avenue, the Village's premises at Harbor Island Park, and the Village Fire Department premises.
  • NEW: Any unvaccinated individuals should continue to wear proper face masks or coverings, as per the CDC Guidance.  For vaccinated individuals, masks should be worn indoors in public areas if you are in an area of substantial or high transmission. Westchester County is currently at a "substantial level of community transmission".  Given these factors, the mask mandate has been re-established for several public buildings.
  • The Westchester County Department of Health has set up a phone line for residents to speak one-on-one with nurses and doctors about the COVID-19 vaccines. Residents can call (914) 995-5800 to speak with medical professionals in English or Spanish to ask questions or get answers to their concerns.
  • Westchester County continues to vaccinate homebound seniors. To schedule a homebound appointment, contact Westchester’s Office of Senior Programs and Services at (914) 813-6300.
  • All New Yorkers age 12+ are now eligible to schedule and receive the vaccine.
  • All New York State mass vaccination sites are now open to walk-in appointments for all New Yorkers over the age of 12.
  • Find a testing site near you. You can also call 1-888-364-3065 to make a free appointment at a New York State-run testing location.

On Tuesday, June 15, New York State hit a vaccination milestone—70 percent of adult New Yorkers have received at least one dose of the COVID vaccine. After reaching this goal, New York State lifted most of the State's remaining COVID restrictions. In line with New York State's announcement, the Village of Mamaroneck also announced that the COVID-19 Local Emergency Proclamation Expired that same evening at 11:59pm.

End of New York State COVID State of Emergency - On June 23rd, Governor Cuomo announced that he would not be extending the state disaster emergency declared on March 7, 2020, to fight COVID-19 (Executive Order 202). After June 24, local governments (like the Village of Mamaroneck) will no longer be able to conduct virtual meetings pursuant to Executive Order 202. The New York State Conference of Mayors (NYCOM) put together this document to explain what this means.

Find guidance from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for fully vaccinated people. If you are not vaccinated, find a vaccine.
