Beginning Tuesday, September 8th, the beach gate at the Stephen E. Johnston Beach at Harbor Island Park will be open from 7:00am to dusk. Beach visitors are welcome to walk and sit on the beach when the gate is open. Please note that swimming is prohibited and the beach will not be staffed until the Summer 2021 Beach Season. Also beginning on Tuesday, September 8th, parking in Harbor Island Park is FREE.
