Planning Department

The Building and Planning Departments are closed to the public for training purposes on Fridays from 3pm to 5pm. Building and Planning Department employees are available from 9:00am to 3:00pm. At 3:00pm, the Departments are closed to the public for the rest of the day and will resume regular office hours at 9:00am on the following Monday.

If you are submitting an application or supporting documentation to any of the Village’s Land Use Boards (Board of Architectural Review, Harbor & Coastal Zone Management Commission, Planning Board, or Zoning Board of Appeal), you must submit these items by mail or in-person at the Planning Department Office during normal business hours (9am to 5pm) on the third floor at 169 Mt. Pleasant Avenue so that our staff can ensure applications and supporting documentations are complete. Submitting these items in-person and by their respective deadline will ensure that your file is received and processed promptly. Items that are submitted electronically via email or file sharing services (i.e. WeTransfer, Dropbox, etc.) cannot be guaranteed to be processed promptly.

Please Note: There is a 1:00 p.m. cutoff on the posted submission date for all applications and supporting documentation to All Land Use Boards, whether electronically or in person.
