|Robert Spolzino, Esq.|
The Village Attorney is appointed by the Board of Trustees and serves at the pleasure of the Board of Trustees. Not many residents are aware of the depth and breadth of the role the Village Attorney plays in Village government. The Attorney acts as advisor to the Village staff and the various Village boards and commissions and assists them in carrying out their functions. The Village Attorney also prepares legislation, drafts and reviews contracts, and renders opinions on a variety of issues.
While the Village Attorney is the attorney for the Village, he cannot provide advice to individuals on private matters. He serves solely as the advisor to the Village staff, boards and commissions.
