2024 Beach Season Ends

The 2024 Beach Season ends at 5:30pm on Monday, September 2nd (Labor Day).
Starting Tuesday, September 3rd, the beach gate at the Stephen E. Johnston Beach at Harbor Island Park will be open from 7:00am to dusk. Beach visitors are welcome to walk and sit on the beach when the gate is open. Please note that swimming is prohibited and the beach will not be staffed until the Summer 2025 Beach Season. Also beginning on Tuesday, September 3rd, parking in Harbor Island Park is FREE.
