Parking Permits for 2023-2024

Village of Mamaroneck Resident Railroad (RR) and Non-Resident Railroad (NRR) permit stickers for the 2023-2024 year are in effect from March 1, 2023 to February 29, 2024.

Individuals who currently have RR and NRR parking permits and wish to RENEW them will receive renewal applications in the mail. Please note that beginning Wednesday, March 1, 2023, RR and NRR parking permits will go on sale to the general public.

Individuals interested in purchasing NEW RR or NRR Parking Permits for the 2023-2024 year can purchase them beginning on Wednesday, March 1, 2023. These permit stickers are valid for one year and will expire on February 29, 2024.

Following are descriptions about the RR and NRR parking permits:

  • Resident Railroad (RR) may be used at the following four (4) locations: (1) the corner of Van Ranst Place and Jefferson Avenue, (2) the two Jefferson Avenue Parking Lots, (3) on Bishop Avenue and (4) the upper tier of the Hunter Lot on Prospect Avenue. The cost for this permit is $625.00 per year (or prorated based on the month purchased). Proof of residency in the Village of Mamaroneck is required as well as registration of car and a valid Driver’s License.
  • Non-Resident Railroad (NRR) may be used (1) on Bishop Avenue between Maple Avenue and Fenimore Road as well as (2) the upper tier of the Hunter Lot on Prospect Avenue. The cost of this permit is $1,100.00. A copy of car registration and a valid driver’s license are required.

Over Flow: If there are no available parking spots in the RR and NRR designated areas, permit holders may park on the Upper Tier of the Hunter Deck (parking lot across the street from the Police Station at 169 Mt. Pleasant Avenue).

(Credit card payments will be charged an additional 3% service charge and ACH direct deposit payments will be charged an additional $2.00 service fee.) Your permit will be mailed to the address on file.

Individuals who wish to purchase these permits in-person may do so at the Clerk-Treasurer's Office, Mondays through Fridays, from 9:00am to 5:00pm.

Refund Policy: The Village offers an 80% refund on the amount remaining on the permit within the first six months of issuance. If there is a waitlist for these permits, refunds will be given during the entire length of the permit.
